Started 'Out of Place' by Edward Said last year for @awbashbookclub but still had the last chapters to read. Finally picked up the book again a few days ago and I was reminded of how much of a difficult read this book was to me.

We read 'Feminism for the 99%' a few months ago with Awbash Book Club. This manifesto isn't really a beginners book. Some concepts are used that require preknowledge. But in general the book is still a good, all-encompassing basis book,

Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire is one of the classical works when it comes to revolutionary, decolonial thinking. Freire writes academically, philosophical and – mainly towards the end – heavy. I connect this necessary writing style (based on the English translation) to the heaviness of the topics, among others.
