A feminism we need?
We read 'Feminism for the 99%' a few months ago with Awbash Book Club. This manifesto isn't really a beginners book. Some concepts are used that require preknowledge. But in general the book is still a good, all-encompassing basis book, touching important topics relevant in the conversation on feminism in today's society.
I am however left with the questions: 'Do we really need this feminism for the 99%? Doesn't it already exist in other feminist theories?' It seems to me that the writers set out a Black feminist analysis on the topics they address, yet - and this is my biggest (and I believe a necessary) criticism - only mention Black feminism on page 82 of 85, and only as an example.
I got my copy from bookdepository for €14,10.
